Norton Audio manufactures boutique effects pedals for musicians. During the process of launching the company, they engaged with us to design their branding and first pedal enclosure.
To create the logo, we combined the initial from their company name and the most common control on the products they make. We introduced the idea to them through a hand-drawn animation which you can see here.
The Norton team loved the concept, and we immediately started the process of refining the design to create a final logo mark.
The next phase of the launch project was to design the enclosure art for their first pedal release. Playing off the "Fine Tools For Musical Artists" tagline we created for them, we introduced a "paint" theme in blue/red that represented the "cold/hot" nature of the pedals' Pre-Amp & Overdrive functions. Future pedal releases will use the art theme as well. The second pedal should release late in 2021.
